Precision out of Halethorpe MD. was very responsive and did great work! I reached out because the motor was stopping mid cycle going both up and down, and consistently getting worse. I researched them and booked an appointment for the next Thursday. Precision confirmed by call and email to set up date and time. Dakota showed up on time and was very informative, cheerful, and very helpful. He took his time inspecting the setup, the door, the balance and weight distribution, wiring and in the end offered multiple options and explained the tradeoffs between them. Lastly, he gave me a very clear set of quotes for replacing the motor, we went ahead and got it done that day. He was fast and efficient with the removal of the faulty motor and installing the new one. He also left us an estimate for the other door (since they were installed the same time years ago) and said that way when we are ready, they will already have what they need to just come and get it done. On December 20, 2020, Dakota, from Precision Overhead Garage Door Service, came to our property and installed a new garage door opener. I waited until today, January 8, to submit a review, for I wanted to open and close the door for a period of time before submitting a review. First of all my wife and I couldn't be more pleased with Dakota. He was most professional and extremely polite! He was also very efficient and methodical in taking out the old motor and belt and installing the new motor and belt. When he finished, he very nicely explained to us how to program the remote, and patiently explained to us how to program our cars with the remote that came with the cars. As a retired teacher, I give him an A+ for his work! I can also say that after using the garage door for 20 days, the opener has worked perfectly! I can't recommend Precision Door Service highly enough; especially kudos to Dakota! I wish I could give you six stars!

We are very satisfied with the service. Dakota came to our complex and examined 8 garage doors and 7 openers. He repaired one garage door, provided a remote for another one, reprogrammed an opener and replaced the lifting mechanism in a third door that was dangerously defective. Dakota and another rep came over 11/6/20; both men were very courteous and professional. I requested a new lock and bar mechanism for manual opening of a lightly used garage door. I pointed out a need for roller track adjustment and Dakota noticed a cable out of alignment. My assumption was this initial visit was for scoping the job for parts requirements and future work assessment. The guys did about 20 minutes of adjustment work and invoiced me for $150.00. I gather they were following company policy / procedure. The work they did this evening could have waited for the main tasks to follow, once ordered parts arrive. In defense of your crew, I did not communicate my expectations; but I am a little disappointed that I’ll end up paying for two repair visits, when one would suffice. I also realize that you rightly have a minimal labor charge once a work crew arrives. However, most contractors scope and estimate work free of charge; that is what I thought this initial visit was for. I’ll shrug this off as poor communication on my part. I used to be the maintenance Supt. at Erachem in Curtis Bay (retired now). I had your outfit in the plant on numerous occasions back in the day.
